Stealth is building the new biotech toolset. Starting with spatial and functional biology at high throughputs and single molecule level, Stealth is providing orders of magnitude improvement compared to status quo opening new opportunities for biomedical, industrial, biosecurity and other applications.

R&D scientist

We are seeking a highly experienced R&D scientist to join our team and lead efforts to refine protocols and make proof of concept experiments for major upcoming publications in spatial biology space. The ideal candidate has built similar systems before, and understands that “done fast” is often better than “perfect”.

This role will report directly to the CEO.

Responsibilities:

  • Support design and development of protocols and experiments (includes gel, Edman, antibody tagging and readout techniques like microscopy, qPCR, mass spec, cell work, NGS).
  • Perform experiments and controls, validate proof of concept for publication in a high-impact journal (Nature).
  • Understand time requirements and make sure experimental plan meets them.

Requirements:

  • Passionate about modern tools for biology, and willing to learn about them on the job
  • PhD in Genetics, Molecular Biology, Biochemistry, or a related field.
  • Extensive experience with RNA sequencing techniques
  • Proficiency in bioinformatics and data analysis software.
  • High level of technical expertise and attention to detail.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with remote teams and external partners.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
