Calculated Hire is in search of an eager Data Analyst to support our Fortune 100 Financial Services client within the Unclaimed Property team. You will be responsible for the following:


Data Conversion, Cleansing, Analysis & Reporting

‣ Convert various data formats into text files suitable for further manipulation and analysis.

‣ Cleanse and parse data to ensure accuracy and completeness, removing any inconsistencies or errors.

‣ Prepare and organize data for reporting and communication purposes.

‣ Analyze large datasets to identify unclaimed property and accounts subject to escheatment.

‣ Generate reports detailing customer information and property status.

‣ Ensure all reports are accurate and compliant with state regulations.

Regulatory Compliance and System Management

‣ Monitor and adhere to the deadlines and requirements of each state’s unclaimed property laws.

‣ React to changes in state regulations by collaborating with tech partners to update the system of record.

‣ Assist in the testing of system changes to ensure compliance and accuracy downstream.

‣ Assist in the preparation and mailing of notification letters to customers whose accounts may be escheated.

‣ Work closely with compliance and legal teams to ensure all actions are in accordance with state regulations.

Excel Expertise and Problem Solving:

‣ Leverage advanced Excel skills for data manipulation, analysis, and reporting.

‣ Tackle complex problems with a solutions-oriented mindset.

‣ Take initiative in identifying issues and proposing improvements to processes and systems.

‣ Converting Macro-Enabled Excel Files to Text

Communication and Collaboration:

‣ Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including IT, Compliance, and Customer Service, to ensure smooth data operations and reporting.

‣ Assist in addressing customer inquiries related to unclaimed property and escheatment processes.

‣ Support continuous improvement initiatives by identifying and recommending process enhancements.


Qualifications:

▻ Bachelor’s degree in Data Analytics, Information Systems, Finance, or a related field.

▻ Advanced proficiency in Excel, with a strong ability to perform complex functions and data analysis. May involve converting Macro-Enabled Excel to Text.

▻ Proficiency in data manipulation tools and languages (e.g., SQL, Excel).

▻ Strong understanding of data cleansing, parsing, and conversion techniques.

▻ Knowledge of unclaimed property/escheatment laws and regulations is a plus, but not required.

▻ Previous experience with HOGAN, PEGA, and OIB is not necessary, but would be a plus

▻ Self-starter with excellent problem-solving skills.

▻ Ability to work under tight deadlines and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

▻ Strong communication and teamwork skills.
