UCS is actively seeking a highly talented Senior Supply Chain Planner.

 

A successful Senior Supply Chain Planner is responsible for working closely with suppliers assigned to his/her portfolio and makes sure parts deliver at the right time, to the right place and with the right quantity at the lowest possible transportation cost.


This candidate will plan, schedule, and monitor the movement of material through the production cycle. They will be responsible for logistics that determine material requirements from engineering and production schedules. They will coordinate the efficient movement of materials with purchasing, production, and engineering. They will develop specifications for new contract orders. They will be responsible for procurement business system data input and integrity; create and maintain bills of material and parts/commodities numbers in supply chain management or other enterprise-wide systems.


Job Title: Senior Supply Chain Planner

 

Essential Functions:

Responsibilities will include but not be limited to the following:

·        Support and assist with cross-functional teams to assure all future requirements deliver on time

  • Prepares material coverage reports and support material acquisition
  • Normally works independently to achieve results and receives minimal guidance/instruction on day-to-day work
  • May instruct, coach, or provide informal guidance to other professionals or colleagues with less experience
  • Managing relationships with external suppliers and internal customers across relevant functional areas within Navistar
  • Follow the EDI with the supplier to ship on time
  • Check on ASNs and make sure that part numbers and quantities are shipped according to EDI
  • Create Purchase order to get material on hand, negotiate with supplier to stablish plan to ship according to our production
  • Coordinates / executes material management in general


Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • At least 2 years of shop order planning and purchasing experience

OR

  • Master's degree

OR

  • At least 4 years of shop order planning and purchasing experience
