Willow Street Yoga, a cherished institution in Takoma Park for over three decades, is currently seeking a dedicated and organized individual to join our team as Studio Manager. Founded by Suzie Hurley and now owned by her son Joe Miller, our studio has become a cornerstone of the Takoma Park community, renowned for its commitment to wellness and community engagement.

As Studio Manager, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing the day-to-day operations of our studio, ensuring smooth functioning and exceptional customer experiences. Your responsibilities will include customer acquisition and retention strategies, fostering a vibrant community atmosphere, and maintaining operational efficiency.

We're looking for a self-motivated candidate with 2-3 years of experience in the fitness/wellness industry, preferably in yoga. This is a hands-on position that requires quick decision-making, attention to detail, and a passion for supporting our studio's mission. Responsibilities

  • Support the management of studio finances including staff payroll, teacher invoices, cash management, and boutique sales.
  • Oversee staff; manage volunteers and some paid staff and ensure top customer service is delivered to all clients.  
  • Oversee facilities including cleanliness of studio, supplies, inventory, and studio improvement projects.
  • Manage client relations: manage email with clients, voicemails, and in-studio relations and ensure high quality customer service is delivered. 
  • Build partnerships with local businesses, organizations, and individuals to plan private and group events.  
  • Plan special community events and assist with special studio programming (e.g. yoga in the park, workshops, yoga happy hour, etc.)
  • Drive customer acquisition and retention; mine through data on our Wellness Living platform and develop a strategy for increasing traffic, building long-term clients, and increasing customer satisfaction.
  • Manage and update our website, as well as teacher subs and information, utilizing WIX and other online platforms
  • Support social media and marketing strategies to create unique campaigns/sales to differentiate Willow Street Yoga from other competitors and continue to drive revenue for the studio. 

Qualifications

  • 2+ years of college education   
  • Visible passion for and understanding of the Yoga, Fitness, and/or Health industry 
  • Strong understanding of marketing, business development, and customer success  Experience in customer service work and commitment to providing excellent service  
  • Experience with wellness living or other customer management platforms, in addition to proficiency in WIX and other online website management platforms
  • Ability to execute quickly and jump between high-level projects and day-to-day operations  
  • Keen attention to detail, especially while managing multiple projects at once
  • Previous experience managing teams   
  • Inclination towards personal growth and commitment to a high standard of business  ethics
