Information Technology Lead

We are seeking an experienced and strategic IT Lead to oversee our company’s IT infrastructure and manage relationships with external Managed Service Providers (MSPs). The IT Lead will be responsible for the daily operation, maintenance, and enhancement of our IT systems and infrastructure, ensuring alignment with the company’s objectives and security standards. The ideal candidate will have at least 7 years of experience in IT management and hold a bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
Key Responsibilities:
- IT Infrastructure Management: Oversee and maintain the organization’s IT infrastructure, including servers, network systems, storage, and cloud environments, to ensure optimal performance, scalability, and security.
- Managed Service Provider (MSP) Oversight: Manage relationships with MSPs to ensure that service level agreements (SLAs) are met and that outsourced functions align with business needs. Monitor and evaluate MSP performance and coordinate with them on escalations and issue resolutions.
- Systems Administration: Perform hands-on management and troubleshooting of core IT systems, including Active Directory, Windows Server, VMware, Office 365, and other key software and hardware resources.
- Cybersecurity and Compliance: Implement and maintain security protocols to protect data, applications, and systems. Ensure IT infrastructure aligns with compliance requirements and industry best practices, particularly in data privacy and information security.
- Project Management: Lead IT projects from conception to completion, including upgrades, migrations, and implementations. Develop project plans, timelines, and budgets, ensuring that projects are completed on time and within scope.
- Stakeholder Communication: Act as a liaison between IT and other departments, communicating technology goals, changes, and updates effectively to ensure organizational alignment.
Required Qualifications:
- Experience: Minimum of 7 years of experience in IT infrastructure management, with a proven track record in both managing internal systems and coordinating with Managed Service Providers.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in Windows Server, Active Directory, VMware, and Office 365 administration.
- Strong understanding of network infrastructure (TCP/IP, DNS, VPN, VLANs).
- Familiarity with cybersecurity protocols and best practices.
- Experience with cloud solutions (e.g., Azure, AWS) is a plus.
- Soft Skills: Excellent leadership, organizational, and project management skills. Strong interpersonal skills for effective communication with internal teams and external partners.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Certifications: CompTIA Network+, Security+, Microsoft Certified Solutions Expert (MCSE), or other relevant certifications.
- Experience with ITIL practices and frameworks for IT service management.
