Key job responsibilities
As a Technical Program Manager (TPM), you will be responsible for driving and delivering multiple complex projects to drive our lab and manufacturing infrastructure security program. In this role, you will provide project leadership, anticipate bottlenecks, mitigate project risks, quantify the impact of making tradeoffs, and balance business needs against technical constraints. You will work closely with stakeholders across various hardware design, software and business teams to identify and drive innovative solutions that achieve business goals and align with long-term product roadmaps.
- Act as the technical interface between the internal customers in application engineering, supply chain, mechanical engineering, electrical engineering and network engineering.
- Partner with other systems and software development teams to maximize customer value.
- Drive the roadmap for the team in alignment with business strategies and priorities.
- Prioritize the intake and manage the backlog of requests.
- Run in front of the systems/software development team, helping define user stories, research appropriate technical solutions, and provide guidance to the team regarding architecture, design,
- and priorities
- Translate feature requests into technical specifications and influence design and architectural decisions
- Apply project management and Agile methodology skills to manage scope, plan work, coordinate resource deployment on tasks, analyze risks/develop mitigation strategies, and proactively identify and resolve issues.
- Help make the right feature tradeoffs to ship software without compromising customer experience or business relevance
- Engage with many teams across the company, evangelize the project, and build trust.
- Provide leadership and perspective, and drive stakeholders to decisions in ambiguous situations.
- Apply continuous improvement methodologies to analyze and understand existing processes and workflows
- Maintain current technical knowledge of rapidly changing technology, always on the lookout for new technologies, and work with management and development teams to improve current processes.
Basic Qualifications
- 10+ years of experience managing programs for enterprise-size companies with internal stakeholders, creating roadmaps, curating backlogs, executing technical plans, running standups
- 7+ years of experience with Agile/SCRUM for large (25+) teams
- 5+ years of experience managing projects using AWS offerings
Preferred Qualifications
- Strong knowledge of AWS technologies and products (EC2, S3, Lambda, VPC, RDS, SSM, CloudWatch, CloudTrail)
- Working knowledge of networking protocols, stacks and technologies (HTTP, TCP/IP, multi-factor authentication (MFA), DNS, DHCP, TLS/SSL, REST)
- Working knowledge of RedHat Enterprise Linux (RHEL), Ansible, and/or Satellite
- AWS Solutions Architect certification a plus
