  • The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, managing, and evaluating IT projects across our organization. To perform this role successfully, the ideal candidate should feel comfortable handling multiple tasks simultaneously, taking ownership of testing, research, and implementation of new tools and techniques, coordinating project schedules, assisting with expense planning, and identifying and resolving technical challenges.



Essential Duties and Responsibilities


Policy Analysis & Improvement:

  • Analyzes departmental IT PMO policies regarding customer service and efficiency; recommends policy changes and process improvements.


Project Management:

  • Oversees IT projects from development to implementation and deployment to production.
  • Tasks include working with management during the planning and development process, providing support for long-term compliance of IT projects, assisting with defining project scopes and objectives, tracking projects and budgets, and updating data using project management software such as DevOps.
  • In addition, attends meetings with leadership to discuss project pipelines and ensure projects are initiated through the established project intake process utilizing tools, templates, policies, and metrics.


Collaboration:

  • Works closely with management to create, monitor, and adjust internal processes that further promote efficient project execution.
  • As well as collaborates with IT Managers to develop detailed implementation plans, project estimates, project schedules, and resource allocation.


Stakeholder Engagement:

  • Serves as the point of contact for all projects, which involves communicating and presenting to project stakeholders, executive management, and other key project personnel to provide regular updates on project status and arising issues.


Technical Support:

  • Provides technical and analytical guidance to the project team, recommending solutions to arising issues.


Reporting:

  • Conducts meetings to report on project performance, analytics, and status.


Vendor Management:

  • Manages the integration of vendor tasks; tracks and reviews vendor deliverables.


Quality Assurance & Compliance:

  • Ensures adherence to departmental IT processes and quality standards while reviewing project deliverables.


KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES (KSAs)

  • Comprehensive knowledge of project management principles and methodologies.
  • Proven ability to successfully manage multiple projects simultaneously to meet project objectives and deliverables.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with an emphasis on stakeholder engagement.
  • Proficient in project management software and tools, such as Microsoft Project, Azure DevOps, or similar platforms.
  • Excellent conflict resolution skills, and the ability to deal tactfully with a diverse audience in a complex organization.
  • Self-starter and capable of working under minimal supervision.


EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

(Bachelor’s Degree, certificate, or diploma gained through college/university)

Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or a directly related field and seven (7) years of progressive work experience in the Information Technology field, including a minimum of five (5) years of experience in IT Project Management and two (2) years of experience leading projects utilizing an agile project methodology.  


Experience with the Scrum methodology. 


Azure DevOps experience is a definite plus, but MUST have experience with Jira or similar application.
