Job description

The Total Shop Solutions Academy Intern Admin will assist with collecting and assessing data to support improvements within the training program. This position will also support the training team through administrative support, including planning and organizational tasks.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Assesses training and development needs through surveys, interviews, focus groups, and communication with managers, instructors, and customer representatives.
  • Assists with creating, organizing, planning, and tracking various forms of onboarding and orientation for employees and customers.
  • Maintains records of training and development activities, attendance, results of tests and assessments, and retraining requirements.
  • Performs regular Learning Management System maintenance, including creating student profiles and performing “help desk” activities during regular business hours.
  • Gather data for program effectiveness through assessments, surveys, and feedback.
  • Performs other related duties as required.

Required Skills/Abilities:

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Adept with a variety of multimedia training platforms and methods.
  • Ability to evaluate and research training options and alternatives.
  • Extremely proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe Creative Cloud.
  • Proactive thinker.
  • Highly organized.
  • Ability to multitask.
  • Strong team player.
  • A basic understanding of adult learning theory is a plus.
  • Prior experience with Learning Management Systems (LMS), online survey platforms, and training authoring tools is a plus.

Physical Requirements:

  • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
