Senior Estimator

Job Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Estimator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in concrete and earth work, along with extensive knowledge and experience using Agtek software. The Estimator will be responsible for preparing accurate and competitive bids for various construction projects, ensuring that all estimates are comprehensive and aligned with project requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

- Prepare detailed and accurate cost estimates for concrete and earth work projects.

- Utilize Agtek software to perform quantity take-offs and develop cost estimates.

- Analyze project plans, specifications, and other documents to understand the scope of work.

- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other team members to gather necessary information for accurate estimating.

- Develop and maintain relationships with subcontractors and suppliers to obtain competitive pricing.

- Review and analyze subcontractor and supplier bids for completeness and accuracy.

- Prepare and present detailed bid proposals to management and clients.

- Monitor and track project costs to ensure alignment with estimated budgets.

- Assist in the preparation of project schedules and work plans.

- Stay updated on industry trends, materials, and best practices related to concrete and earth work.

Qualifications:

- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field preferred.

- Minimum of 5 years of experience as an estimator in the construction industry, with a focus on concrete and earth work.

- Proficiency in using Agtek software for quantity take-offs and estimating.

- Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and costs related to concrete and earth work.

- Excellent analytical and mathematical skills.

- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.

- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.

- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

- Strong organizational and time management skills.

- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
