Your Responsibilities

Business Partner

  • Participate as a member of the extended NPI & Innovation Finance leadership team, contributing to the formulation and execution of operational plans aligned with the strategic vision.
  • Facilitate the analysis and constructive critique of new product business plans and financial models to pinpoint key value drivers.
  • Generate financial analyses and influence new product allocation decisions within the JR business.
  • Cultivate and maintain relationships with Finance leaders across Commercial & GQO to achieve set objectives.
  • Innovate financial metrics for tracking objectives and specific achievements related to new technologies and products.
  • Lead and ensure thorough due diligence on the Budget process in collaboration with Commercial & GQO Leadership.

Business Controller

  • Oversee FP&A Reporting & Projections for JR NPI, including management reporting on key operational expenses, capital expenditures, and product costs across the Hip and Knee Business Units and multiple ERPs.
  • Collaborate with the AO team to support and influence the achievement of financial targets.
  • Drive initiatives aimed at improving margins for new technologies and products.
  • Ensure timely and accurate new product cost estimates with disciplined communication across selling divisions.
  • Manage all capital expenditure requests related to new platform technologies and products for JR AO.
  • Own and enhance the cost tracker for bringing new products to market.
  • Ensure compliance with statutory and policy requirements across all reporting regions.

Qualifications

  • A recognized professional accounting qualification, ideally complemented by a broad business qualification.
  • Over 6 years of post-qualification experience, preferably in a multinational environment within an FDA-regulated industry.
  • Comprehensive understanding of accounting and financial principles, budgeting, reporting, financial analysis, and forecasting.
  • Proven track record of driving change and improvement.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects, adapt priorities as necessary, and meet deadlines.
  • Capacity to build and sustain collaborative relationships at all organizational levels and with external partners.
  • Self-directed with the ability to influence across various levels of the organization.
  • Comfortable operating in a matrix-management environment.
  • A proactive attitude towards business challenges.
  • Results-oriented with a demonstrated ability to motivate others.
  • Exceptional communication skills, both quantitative and qualitative.
  • Strong financial analytical skills and solid business acumen.
