Procurement Manager

We are looking for a Procurement Leader who will drive the integration of non-centralized procurement areas into a centralized operating model. The focus will be on key categories such as Indirect Services, Human Resources, Information Technology, Premiums, and Research & Development, areas that were previously managed by functional groups without direct procurement involvement.


Key Responsibilities:


Leadership & Strategy Development:

  • Lead efforts to bring non-centralized procurement areas into the centralized procurement framework.
  • Work closely with VP-level stakeholders and consultants to develop strategies for multiple spend categories (ranging from $600M to $1B).
  • Ensure internal alignment and collaboration on future category management.

Collaboration & Alignment:

  • Partner with external consultants and senior leaders from internal teams to define and implement procurement strategies.
  • Engage in cost-saving projects and foster strong working relationships.

Negotiation & Contract Management:

  • Take the lead in negotiating complex contracts with key suppliers.

Procurement Strategy & Framework:

  • Develop and implement frameworks for new procurement areas under the centralized model.


Qualifications:


Educational Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a technical field like Engineering, Operations Management, Supply Chain Management, or another related area.

Experience & Skills:

  • Minimum of 10 years in Procurement or Supply Chain, with experience leading improvements in category management.
  • Strong skills in Complex Contract Negotiation, Stakeholder Engagement, Change Management, and Project Management.
  • Proven ability to influence without authority, build trust quickly, and work independently while managing cross-functional teams.

Leadership & Problem-Solving:

  • Demonstrated leadership and problem-solving skills with high resiliency and the ability to make quick, effective decisions.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Legal Requirements:

  • Must be a U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident, or authorized to work in the U.S.
  • No sponsorship required for work authorization.
