I am looking for an individual to join my small business and help us evolve into a distinctive design firm. With a wide range of responsibilities that could potentially be divided among multiple team members, we can tailor the job description to fit the unique skills of the perfect candidate who brings the right attitude and energy to the table.
Main duties are mostly administrative and organizational in nature, but demonstration of design sensibility and passion could open doors to a future designer role.

Job Requirements
Bachelor’s degree required
Experience in interior design preferred, but not required
Proficiency in Microsoft Office required
Knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite a PLUS
Knowledge of design software (Chief Architect/Revit/Vectorworks/AutoCAD) a PLUS
Knowledge of Studio Designer a PLUS
Must have reliable transportation and a valid US driver's license
Responsibilities may include:
- Assisting designer with measuring and note-taking during consultations, meetings, presentations and site visits
- Onboarding new projects within our software and systems
- Creating and updating construction documents and 3D renderings from designer’s schematics
- Creating and organizing specification binders and material schedules
- Maintain project documentation and files in an organized and accessible manner
- Calling vendors to obtain quotes and lead times
- Traveling to Dallas design center to complete tasks
- Assisting designer in preparing for presentations
- Placing product orders, calling on them weekly, and entering status updates in Studio Designer software
- Accepting shipments to the studio, inspecting, tagging them for projects
- Filing claims for damaged goods and following through until resolution
- Admin tasks including creating forms, email/verbal communication with construction team, email/verbal communication with craftsmen and vendors, email/verbal communication with clients, assembling client care guides
- Assisting designer and other professionals prepare for installation day, and on installation day placing furnishings into clients’ homes, styling, and preparing for reveal
- Maintaining a clean and orderly studio, keeping projects organized
- Maintaining an orderly sample library

- A willingness to consistently use project management tools and systems, and the desire to improve them.

We are not striving to establish a “Monika Merchant” aesthetic but to know our clients and setting thoroughly, and craft interiors that possess a strong sense of place, exude charm and convey a personality unique to each client. Not only do we strive for our designs to be client-centric, but for the process to be as well.
