Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Security Operations Lead to work on-site in Washington, DC, with expertise in cybersecurity operations to lead and oversee critical security initiatives. The ideal candidate will bring extensive experience in managing programs involving Security Operations Centers (SOC), Risk Management Framework (RMF) implementations, and IT security tools.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain Task Order Management Plans, cost analyses, schedules, risk registers, and mitigation strategies.
  • Provide program oversight for contractual deliverables, financial controls, and resource allocation.
  • Oversee services related to SOC Architecture, Engineering, Operations, and Maintenance.
  • Coordinate surge support and responses to emerging threats.
  • Ensure tools and technology are maintained and upgraded to meet operational requirements.
  • Support planning and execution for transitioning IT Security staff augmentation services.
  • Deliver contract-level transition reports detailing requirements and status.
  • Serve as a liaison between stakeholders
  • Provide incremental updates and After-Action Reports (AAR) for incidents.


Required Qualifications:

  • 5 years of experience as a SOC lead
  • Proven experience in program and project management within cybersecurity or IT operations within the government environment.
  • Strong knowledge of SOC operations, RMF processes, ISSO, and IT security tools.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.


Physical and Mental Qualifications:

  • Be able to maintain awareness during scheduled working hours.
  • Prolonged periods sitting or standing at desk and working on a computer (mouse and keyboard)
  • Able to lift up to 15 pounds.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication; good command of the English language
  • Execute tasks independently and work as a team.
  • Learns and memories routine tasks.
  • Strong organizational, grammar, business correspondence, and self-management skills
