We’re looking for a highly motivated, experienced Production Engineer to join our production team

SUMMARY: The Production Engineer role is to enhance our plant safety and improve operational efficiency. The successful candidate will focus on optimizing the fill line and continuous batch operations, ensuring smooth and effective process flow. Key responsibilities include leading continuous improvement activities and implementing best practices in the chemical manufacturing setting. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills and a proactive approach to problem-solving, contributing to the overall success and productivity of our plant.


KEY CAPABILITIES: Work with Operations, EHS, Engineering and Maintenance to support continuous improvement activities and equipment installations through the MOC process


KNOWLEDGE:

· Knowledge of chemical manufacturing operations

· Experience with OSHA PSM regulations

· Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing Methods and Continuous Improvement Methods

· Strong verbal and communications skills with the ability to interact effectively with individuals at all levels in an organization

· Ability to troubleshoot processes and equipment

· Knowledge of workplace safety regulations and practices as applied in a chemical manufacturing setting


DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

· Devise, document and implement Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement methodologies across all department processes in line with plant efficiency and productivity targets.

· Analyzes sequence of operations and workflow to improve efficiencies in plant and production facilities and equipment layouts

· Establishes methods for maximum utilization of production facilities and personnel

· Implement and Support Business Improvement Projects and ensure participation from all areas

· Implement and Track Productivity KPIs to measure and improve operations (Golden Batch Cycle Times, OEE, FPQ, MT/labor hr, etc.)

· Increase site productivity and quality by collaborating with site management team, implementing standard work, vessel load balancing, and removing bottlenecks

· Apply statistical tools for data-driven decisions

· Conducts studies pertaining to cost control and cost reduction

· Perform other duties as assigned


ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

· Employee will be required…

· to safely operate production equipment and peripherals

· to speak on phone, use email, and other web based communication services

· Must remain clean shaven and be capable of wearing SCBA and other types of respirators


QUALIFICATIONS:

· BS/BA in Chemical Engineering or Industrial Engineering

· 3-5 years of experience in a chemical manufacturing setting

· Competent with Microsoft Office

· Experience with data management tools preferred, not required

· Must possess good communication skills, both written and oral, sound business judgment, strong interpersonal and technical skills and a professional demeanor.
