Evolve is seeking an experienced Litigation Legal Assistant to join the litigation team of a respected AmLaw 200 law firm in Tallahassee, Florida. Key Responsibilities:

As a Litigation Legal Assistant, you will:

  • Collaborate with various firm-wide departments to handle responsibilities such as case opening, conflicts checks, billing, and records management.
  • Use your knowledge of Federal and State court filing systems to file pleadings according to court rules and requirements.
  • Draft, proofread, and format legal documents, including correspondence, pleadings, and other necessary filings.
  • Track firm, attorney, and client expenses, processing reimbursements and payments through the firm’s application software.
  • Assist attorneys with the client billing process, including entering narratives, tracking billable tasks, calendaring billing due dates, and delivering invoices.
  • Schedule state court hearings and manage attorney calendars to ensure deadlines are met.
  • Coordinate client appointments and assist with the planning of business development events.
  • Manage both electronic and paper case files.
  • Handle incoming and outgoing mail, telephone calls, and emails while ensuring top-quality client service.
  • Other responsibilities may apply as needed to meet the evolving needs of the litigation team.


Qualifications & Experience:

The ideal Litigation Legal Assistant candidate will have:

  • 3 to 5 years of experience as a Litigation Legal Assistant in a law firm, with Federal and State court filing experience.
  • Experience working with multiple attorneys and managing various litigation-related responsibilities.
  • Proficiency in court filing systems, expense tracking, and client billing software.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills to draft and proofread documents effectively.
  • Excellent organizational skills to manage deadlines, attorney calendars, and client appointments.
