Our client is looking for an experienced Litigation Paralegal to join their Dispute Resolution Team. This team has earned a reputation for successfully handling a wide range of complex commercial litigation matters from pre-suit investigation and counseling through all stages of litigation, including trial and appeal. With a history of significant jury and non-jury trials, the team has been recognized for its excellence in litigation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist attorneys in preparing for trials, hearings, and depositions by organizing case files and managing documentation.
  • Conduct legal research to support case strategies and prepare legal memoranda.
  • Draft and review legal documents, including pleadings, discovery requests, and motions.
  • Manage case calendars, including scheduling meetings, deadlines, and court dates.
  • Coordinate with clients, witnesses, and experts to gather necessary information and documents.
  • Maintain and organize case files, ensuring all materials are up-to-date and easily accessible.
  • Prepare and file documents with the court and maintain compliance with court rules.
  • Support attorneys in case management, providing updates and tracking progress on various cases.
  • Assist in trial preparation, including assembling trial notebooks and exhibits.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in a legal environment.
  • Previous experience as a paralegal in commercial litigation, with a strong understanding of litigation processes and procedures.
  • Proficient in legal research tools and case management software.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with clients and team members.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines.
