Position Overview: The IT Director/Information Security Officer will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of our IT infrastructure and ensuring the security of our information systems. This role requires a strategic thinker with strong leadership skills and a deep understanding of IT operations and cybersecurity. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in managing IT teams, implementing security protocols, and developing IT strategies that align with the organization's goals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement IT and information security strategies, policies, and procedures.
  • Oversee the daily operations of the IT department, including network infrastructure, software applications, and hardware management.
  • Ensure the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of the company’s data and IT systems.
  • Lead and manage the IT team, providing guidance, support, and professional development opportunities.
  • Conduct risk assessments and vulnerability testing to identify and mitigate security threats.
  • Develop and enforce security policies to protect against unauthorized access, data breaches, and other security threats.
  • Collaborate with other departments to understand their IT needs and provide appropriate solutions.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards, such as GDPR, HIPAA, or other industry-specific requirements.
  • Manage the IT budget and allocate resources effectively to meet organizational objectives.
  • Stay current with emerging technologies and industry trends to continuously improve the company’s IT and security posture.
  • Develop and maintain disaster recovery and business continuity plans.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in IT management, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
  • Strong knowledge of IT infrastructure, including networks, servers, cloud computing, and software applications.
  • In-depth understanding of information security principles, protocols, and best practices.
  • Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or CISA are highly desirable.
  • Proven experience in developing and implementing IT and security strategies.
  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills.
  • Strong leadership and team management abilities.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize tasks effectively.
