Role Description:

This is a full-time/part time on-site role for a fit tech. Strong garment technical knowledge and communication is a must. The fit tech is responsible for creating and maintaining fit standard and quality from design through production. This position will work closely with our production and design team. Using a critical eye for detail to ensure garments are manufactured to specification and guidelines.

 

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Provide detailed fit comments for all stages from proto/SMS to production

- Ensure garments fit properly and accurately measure samples

- Understand the urgency of deadlines and meeting production schedules.

- Sensitive to garment technical and data details to avoid manufacturing errors

- Approving grade rules once pre-production sample is approved

- Direct communication and management with oversea vendors

- Lead fit sessions with fit models to make fit corrections

- Quality control for bulk samples

- Prepare for weekly fittings with design team and model

- Able to work in a fast-paced environment

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

- Strong technical understanding of womenswear garment construction

- Pattern making and grading knowledge is required

- At least 3 years of technical design experience in womenswear

- Strong communication skills to factories and team

- Extreme attention to detail

- Ability to identify fit issues and solve issues

- Time management and organization skills

- Proficient in MS Excel and Adobe Illustrator

- Experience in women’s contemporary fashion is required

- Experience with women’s’ wovens, tops, dresses, bottoms, and knits.
