About the position:

The company is seeking a Vice President of Quality to take charge of leading quality and safety programs for Lifepoint Health's community-based hospitals. The role involves defining and executing strategies for clinical quality, process enhancement, patient safety, and value. The VP of Quality will be responsible for coordinating and evaluating performance in alignment with both internal and external quality and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Direct and execute evidence-based continuous improvement programs in clinical quality and patient safety.
  • Act as a catalyst for change to reinforce a culture of quality and safety through a multidisciplinary approach.
  • Develop a strategic plan that emphasizes quality, safety, and service excellence while meeting national standards and establishing clear metrics for high reliability performance.
  • Collaborate with Risk Management and Patient Safety to supervise root cause analyses, corrective actions, and performance indicators.
  • Lead the design and implementation of training programs focused on High Reliability and safety culture.

Requirements:

  • Education: RN and Master's degree in Healthcare, Nursing, or Business.
  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years of progressive leadership experience, with 10 years of experience in overseeing quality programs in a large healthcare network.
  • Certifications: CPHQ/CPPS required; Lean/Six Sigma certification preferred.
  • Licenses: Must hold the appropriate state license.

Skills:

  • Proficiency in advanced mathematics and computer literacy.
  • Effective communication skills at all organizational levels.
  • Strong decision-making abilities with a substantial impact on the organization.
