Role & Responsibilities

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Overnight Handyman Supervisor to oversee our nighttime maintenance team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in a variety of maintenance tasks, including drywall repair, painting, patching, ceramic tile replacement, floor refinishing, laminate floor installation, lighting replacement, and lock repair. This role requires a hands-on leader who can perform complex repair tasks while supervising and guiding the team to ensure that all maintenance activities are completed efficiently and to a high standard.

Responsibilities:
  • Supervise and lead the overnight maintenance team, ensuring that all tasks are completed accurately and on time.
  • Perform a wide range of maintenance and repair tasks including, but not limited to:
  • Drywall repair and patching
  • Painting and surface refinishing
  • Ceramic tile installation and replacement
  • Floor refinishing and laminate floor installation
  • Lighting replacement and electrical troubleshooting
  • Lock repair and replacement
  • Conduct routine inspections of the facility to identify maintenance needs and address them proactively.
  • Ensure all maintenance activities comply with company policies and safety regulations.
  • Train and mentor maintenance staff, promoting skill development and adherence to best practices.
  • Manage maintenance schedules and prioritize tasks to ensure the most critical issues are addressed promptly.
  • Maintain inventory of tools, equipment, and supplies necessary for maintenance tasks.
  • Collaborate with other departments to coordinate maintenance activities and minimize disruption to operations.
  • Respond to emergency maintenance requests and perform necessary repairs to ensure safety and functionality.
  • Document all maintenance activities and repairs in the CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System).
Qualifications

Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical training or certifications in maintenance or related fields preferred.
  • Proven experience as a handyman or maintenance supervisor with expertise in drywall repair, painting, patching, ceramic tile replacement, floor refinishing, laminate floor installation, lighting replacement, and lock repair.
  • Strong leadership and supervisory skills with the ability to manage and motivate a team.
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Good communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Physical stamina and dexterity to perform manual labor and lift heavy objects.
  • Flexibility to work overnight shifts, including weekends and holidays as needed.
