The Progress Center is on the lookout for Overnight Direct Support Professionals (DSP) to join our expanding Residential Services team. We are hiring for a full-time awake overnight DSP position with a schedule of Sunday-Tuesday 8p-7a and rotating Saturdays.

Direct Support Professionals in the Residential Department offer comprehensive services to adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities in both residential and community environments. They play a crucial role in a supportive team committed to promoting independence, providing education, teaching new skills, and ensuring freedom of choice and rights for the individuals they care for.

Previous experience is not mandatory
  • Provide support for individuals to enhance their independence and engage fully in their community.
  • Implement person-centered and care plans established by the team.
  • Promote inclusion through participation in community activities and services.
  • Assist with personal care when necessary.
  • Follow recommendations from professional evaluations.
  • Complete all required training.
  • Participate in agency meetings as instructed by your supervisor.
  • Maintain accurate consumer records and services, including documentation and attendance, incident reports, and mileage sheets.
  • Ensure compliance with all regulations for individuals with intellectual disabilities or autism.
  • Advocate for consumers during review meetings.
  • Encourage teamwork and professionalism among colleagues.
  • Resolve issues positively and communicate concerns effectively.
  • Meet CRMA certification requirements for medication administration.

General:
  • Adhere to all federal, state, and local regulations concerning services for individuals with developmental or intellectual disabilities.
  • Follow regulations from the Office of Aging and Disability Services and the Department of Human Services.
  • Show respect and add value to the lives of those we support.
  • Provide emergency coverage as needed.
  • Complete all necessary training.

Qualifications:
  • Full Direct Support Professional Certification & CRMA Training within 6 months of Hire - PAID & PROVIDED
  • Pass a criminal background check.
  • Hold a valid driver's license with a clean record.
  • Minimum age requirement of 17 years old.
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds.
  • CNAs are welcome to apply to continue helping others with reduced physical demands.
