Join our team as a Homemaker Family Services of Central MA is hiring Homemakers to perform household tasks and activities under the direction of a field supervisor
Responsibilities include:
Performing assigned household duties.
Communicating observations verbally and in writing.
Accepting and utilizing supervision.
Respecting privacy and confidentiality.
Adapting to various situations.
Embracing and respecting diverse values, nationalities, races, religions, cultures, and standards of living.
Responsibilities:
Services include assistance with:
- shopping
- menu planning
- meal preparation
- laundry
- light housekeeping, including but not limited to: vacuuming, dusting, wet & dry mopping
- dish washing
- cleaning the kitchen and bathroom
- changing beds
- prescriptions pick-up
- essential errands
Paid training:
Completion of Homemaker Orientation training (3hrs) upon hire.
Completion of Homemaker training program = 37 hours (as recommended by the Massachusetts Council for Home Care Aide Services) with 6 months of employment
On-going state required staff development training = 6 hours per year.
Qualifications:
Required High School Diploma or equivalent.
Valid Driver's License
