Communications Senior Manager, Global Celebrity and Entertainment

W2 Contract Remote, but Local to San Francisco, CA *


Our client is a leading online marketplace that connects people who want to rent out their property with people who are looking for accommodations, typically for short stays.

They are seeking a Global Celebrity and Entertainment Senior Manager to support the Entertainment & Consumer Communications team.

This position requires 40 hours per week – flexible across multiple time zones – for a duration of 9 months to develop and execute buzz-worthy campaigns that keep the client front of mind, stimulate word-of-mouth and drive positive sentiment for the brand.

The ideal candidate is curious, engaged, proactive, and solution-oriented.

Popular trends are constantly evolving so the ideal candidate is tapped into the latest trends, aware of consumer behavior and on the pulse of the latest news in entertainment and travel.


Responsibilities:
Project manage global Celebrity & Entertainment campaigns – including hosting and guest stays – through ideation to execution.

Lead individual project teams, including collaborating with external agencies and internal cross-functional partners such as Legal, Creative and Social to ensure campaign execution is flawless and successful from start to finish.

Develop strategic celebrity, entertainment, and IP related partnerships and proactively conduct partner outreach to deliver against annual goals.
Work closely with the International Communications team on regional programs.
Support the Celebrity & Entertainment budget and forecasting, in close partnership with the Senior Program Manager.
Assist in management of consultant partners, including attending weekly calls and monitoring program status.

Demonstrate an understanding and awareness of evolving trends by monitoring social media channels and the dally news cycle, while looking for press opportunities.

Help coordinate and manage external comms activities such as press trips and events.

Can serve the role as a Project Manager on consumer communication projects, and/or support role on an individual project for the wider Entertainment & Consumer Communications team.

Manage key internal and external partners including Hosts, brand partners and creative vendors to negotiate partnerships, draft scopes of works, review proposals and execute contracts.


Qualifications:
7+ years of professional experience in Communications, with a passion for pop culture, social media and trends.
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and writing skills; acute attention to detail and follow through.
Knowledge and expertise in building and executing organic campaigns and strategies that drive favorable press and social buzz.
Proactive self-starter with a proven track record of taking initiative.
Ability to influence decision-making, identify and remove blockers to ensure execution runs smoothly.
Work effectively within a high-performing team with evolving priorities and rapidly changing timelines.
Advanced presentation skills (Keynote, G Suite) and knowledge and application of meeting collaboration tools and current social networking systems.
Exhibit strong process-oriented skills and passion for trying, learning, improving, and sharing best practices.
Ability to exercise judgment and maintain confidentiality.
Maintain enthusiasm and a level head in even the most stressful situations.
