What You'll Be Doing:

  • - Oversee a range of diverse technology projects and guide a team of developers experienced in distributed microservices and full stack systems to develop solutions that align with regulatory requirements
  • - Demonstrate your enthusiasm for keeping up with technological advancements, exploring and mastering new technologies, engaging with internal and external tech communities, mentoring fellow engineers, and occasionally engaging in coding tasks
  • - Collaborate with digital product managers to deliver robust cloud-based solutions that enhance user experiences and support financial empowerment for millions of individuals
  • - Utilize programming languages such as Java, Angular, HTML/CSS, TypeScript, SQL, Python, and Go, as well as Open Source RDBMS and NoSQL databases, Container Orchestration services like Docker and Kubernetes, and various tools and services within AWS

Requirements:

  • - Bachelor's Degree
  • - Minimum of 8 years of software engineering experience (Internship roles are not applicable)
  • - At least 1 year of experience in cloud computing (AWS, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud)
  • - 4+ years of team management experience

Preferred Qualifications:

  • - Master's Degree
  • - 9+ years of experience in Java, Angular, TypeScript, SQL, Python, or Go
  • - 3+ years of experience with AWS, GCP, Microsoft Azure, or another cloud platform
  • - 4+ years of experience working with open source frameworks
  • - 7+ years of team management experience
  • - 2+ years of Agile practices experience

Capital One may offer sponsorship for suitable candidates applying for this role. The annual salaries for this position range from $234,700 to $267,900 in New York City (Hybrid On-Site).

This role may also qualify for performance-based incentive compensations, including bonuses and long-term incentives. These incentives are subject to the specific plan in place.
