Duties:

  • You will clear unmatched disbursements on a daily basis for current and prior years through RIMS/SABRS by ensuring correct document number, subhead, appropriation data, etc. are posted to the proper standard document number (SDN).
  • You will use various systems to include Standard Accounting, Budgeting, and Reporting System (SABRS), and Reserve Integration Management System (RIMS) to identify pay issues for command personnel.
  • You will perform a variety of complex data searches through various systems to include Defense Joint Military Pay System-Reserve Component (DJMS-RC), Master Military Pay Account (MMPA), and Navy Reserve Order Writing System (NROWS).
  • You will research and communicate with various echelon levels in order to resolve and clear aged travel advances in RIMS/SABRS and ensure proper posting of expenditure data by document.
  • You will ensure proper reporting of travel advances for both outstanding travel advances owed and system errors.

Qualifications:

  • Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the
    GS06 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector.

Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:

  • Experience utilizing accounting systems, policies and procedures to examine and verify reconciled accounts.
  • Experience determining pay, payroll records maintenance and completion of reports pertaining to reservists.
  • Experience receiving payment collections in areas such as invoices due, indebtedness to government, etc.
  • Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., professional, philanthropic, religious, spiritual, community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment.

Education:

This job does not have an education qualification requirement.

This position is covered by the Department of Defense Priority Placement Program.

The Navy Reserve Force (NAVRESFOR) Comptroller Directorate is an "in office" work environment.

NAVRESFOR does offer flexible work schedules to include both an Alternate Work Schedule (Fixed 8 hours per day, gliding or maxi-flex) and a Compressed Work Schedule (RDO) and does provide for situational, ad-hoc telework.
