The Sr. Manager, Accounting is responsible to oversee and manage the day-to-day accounting and reporting operations.

The role will work within the Record to Report (RTR) team to implement new areas within the Finance, Procurement & Supply Chain (FP&SC) Magenta Services group and assist with process improvement to achieve industry best practices within and in accordance with the US GAAP, IFRS and DT policies, procedures and framework.


Manages the Accounting close process including:

Ensure Accounting records, monthly Accounting close activities and variance analyses are adequately and properly prepared, maintained and explained in a timely manner.

Accountable for identifying and communicating risks and issues impacting financial area of responsibility. Timely communication and escalation of roadblocks, risks and issues. Establish structure and standards in order to ensure appropriate internal controls are in place and operating effectively.

Team Leadership including:
Responsible to drive Department goals and vision forward within team. Set clear expectations for team, including specific and measurable team goals and objectives. Effective delegation to staff.

Manage departmental projects and process changes in order to improve efficiencies in work processes and to reduce work in low value activities.


Employee Development including:
Coach and develop business, system, process and accounting acumen. Have awareness of each person's career goals; hold development discussions; and provide challenging assignments to promote development.

Translate broader business initiatives into clear team objectives and concrete individual goals, aligning appropriately with other groups for efficient, coordinated action.

Cross-functional project participation and implementation including:Participation in enterprise projects to ensure appropriate requirements are developed based on a solid understanding of the impacted systems and the transaction flow.

Responsible for operationalizing the functionality delivered, including assessing control environment and potential audit requirements.

Responsible to ensure any necessary regression testing is completed and results validated prior to launchCommunicating changes to staff, and impacted internal customers Also responsible for other Duties/Projects as assigned by business management as needed.

  • CPA or eligible
  • Telecom industry experience 10+ years of progressive accounting experience 3+ years of leadership experience
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting
  • Experience at a large company (big 4, second tier accounting firm, company $1B+ in revenue)
  • Experience managing, validating, and consolidating reports for multiple entities.
  • Advanced excel experience.
