Responsibilities:

This role will help manage media relations activities and support with the team's marquee eminence projects for a 6-month period between July 2024 through January 2025.

This is an opportunity for a communications professional who would like a development opportunity by working in the Global organization.


Media relations:


This role will focus on differentiating Organization externally through media relations activities, including developing strategic relationships with journalists and media outlets and securing earned media opportunities for Organization senior leaders that amplify Organization's point of view on topics important to our businesses and clients, including sustainability and generative AI,among others.

This person will also play a role in executing our paid media strategy, supporting with research to make strategic decisions regarding our paid media plans, as well as workingwith media outlets on the necessary content development.

Responsible for preparing media materials (press releases, talking points, media briefings) for internal and external use as well as prepping Organization leaders for interviews, andsupporting media interviews in global markets.

Responsible for supporting communications campaigns around key events, such as COP29 and the Annual Meeting of the World Economic Forum in Davos.


Eminence:


This position will support Organization's marquee global eminence pieces, such as the Gen Z and Millennial Survey and Women @ Work.

The 2024 surveys will launch in the Spring of 2024, but the reports continue to generate interest year-round, so one of the key responsibilities of this role will be continuing to support incoming requests-from media opportunities, to client requests, and addressing questions from the member firms.

In addition to managing incoming opportunities, this person should play a role in continuing to identify proactive opportunities to keep driving momentum for the surveys.

This role will also support the launch of Organization's inaugural Disability Inclusion @ Work survey, launching in October 2024.

They will play a key role in the internal and external communications strategy for the launch, and develop supporting assets for the launch, such as the press release, talking points and briefing materials, a global presentation deck, and social media content.

In collaboration with other members of the Global Comms team and the Global People & Purpose team, this role will also be responsible for beginning to scope and plan for the 2025 editions of the Gen Z and Millennial Survey and Women @ Work, which will involve sourcing external vendors and getting them onboarded, preparing survey questions with our survey.

Additionally, this position may involve brainstorming and executing on new survey ideas based on input from member firms on key priorities.

Illustrative Duties and Responsibilities


Coordinate with a wide variety of internal stakeholders and an external PR agency to bring to life media campaigns and meet key objectives.

Work across all geographies and regions, collaborating with member firm communications professionals, to identify, prioritize, secure, and support earned and paid media opportunities, as well as to collaborate on key eminence pieces which are used to foster media engagement and build Organization's brand in the market.

Manage the pipeline, development and posting of press releases, blog content and other media materials. Manage and prepare media briefings for spokespeople.

Build lasting and effective relationships with journalists and media outlets to promote Organization through media interviews and coverage of key Organization initiatives.

Support the development and project management of Global Communications' marquee thought leadership pieces.

Ability to confidently communicate about campaigns and results in front of large groups and senior stakeholders (either in-person or in virtual settings).

Success measures and evaluate metrics to enhance/improve communications activities and strategiesKnowledge of web and social media platforms/tools to achieve marketing/communications objectives

Required Licenses, Certifications, and Other RequirementsStrong relationship building/relationship management skillsAbility to interact, work with, and advise senior leadership in a complex, matrix organizationFlexible and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment


Education & ExperienceBachelor's Degree; minimum 5 years' experience in communications and/or corporate affairs; media outlet or PR agency experience is desirable.
