Overview of the Position:

  • This job is located in the Worcester Clerk's Office of the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the District of Massachusetts.
  • The Case Administrator oversees the progress of bankruptcy cases in a CM/ECF environment by maintaining case records, ensuring procedural steps are completed, and handling various administrative tasks.
  • Duties involve managing and quality controlling assigned cases for timely progression in the CM/ECF system, scanning documents, monitoring processes, and issuing notices.
  • Other responsibilities include daily filing, email monitoring for document-related issues, interacting with trustees and counsel, processing case conversions, and providing non-legal information to the public.
  • The Case Administrator may also act as a back-up Electronic Court Recorder Operator, attending court proceedings to record verbatim using electronic sound recording equipment.
  • They will be responsible for creating electronic log notes of the proceedings.
