Overview

MSA has an opportunity for a Water/Wastewater Project Engineer at our Champaign, IL office on the Water Service Line. You will have the opportunity to see, and contribute in, projects from start to finish. The various projects you'll be working on make a significant and positive impact on the communities you serve.

Responsibilities

The work you will do

  • Preparation of plans of water and wastewater infrastructure projects
  • Wastewater facilities planning reports and feasibility studies
  • Preparation of details, specifications, and bidding documents
  • Be part of a design team for Municipal Infrastructure projects
  • Preparation of regulatory permits for projects
  • Preparation of technical reports for projects
  • Provide construction observation services for municipal infrastructure projects
  • Provide construction administration services of municipal water and wastewater infrastructure projects
  • Attendance at client meetings
  • Project management including project planning, scoping, budgeting and QA/QC
  • Client interaction and project management
Qualifications

What you bringSkills & Knowledge / Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering required
  • 4+ years of related work experience in Water and Wastewater required
  • PE license required
  • Experience with client interaction preferred
  • Project management experience preferred
  • Desire to work on water, wastewater, storm water, and municipal/civil projects
  • AutoCAD experience preferred
  • Construction experience preferred
