Terrestris, LLC is seeking OPFOR Role Players (OPFOR) and actors to take part in National Guard training exercises throughout West Virginia.

These exercises, happening over 11 days in mid-July 2024, will encompass both weekdays and weekends. Your role is crucial in crafting authentic, scenario-driven training sessions to equip our troops for a variety of operational settings. As a selected candidate, you'll embody different Opposing Force military personas within simulated military environments, offering a special chance to enhance the preparedness and efficiency of our armed forces.



Duties


As part of Terrestris OPFOR / Actors, you'll play a key role in delivering practical training designed to fortify security and resilience by methodically gearing up for potential threats that pose significant risks to national security.

OPFOR Role Players will define the Enemy Force landscape during exercises to stretch and evaluate the strategic and tactical capabilities of participants. They present a platform for honing crucial combat skills in a simulated setting, necessitating the portrayal of Opposing Force combatants in the exercise.


OPFOR personnel will be assigned specific roles and may need to develop or assume a character background.

Throughout the exercise, OPFORs will exhibit their acting and improvisational skills across various scenarios, engaging in simulated training and combat situations throughout the exercise duration. They might even be asked to spend nights in the field (camp out).



Requirements

  • Must not have any pre-existing conditions necessitating special needs or medical support.
  • Must be able to walk unaided over challenging terrain for distances of up to a half-mile at a time.
  • Should be comfortable standing, sitting, or lying on uneven, dirty surfaces that could be quite cold or warm for extended periods.
  • Must be ready and able to follow all instructions for their assigned roles.
  • Should be willing to engage in up to two meetings with training groups during each operational period, assuming multiple roles as needed.
  • This exercise is fluid, with meeting schedules subject to change based on role-play and interactions with training audiences.
  • OPFOR individuals will have diverse skill levels and backgrounds; a military background is not compulsory. They must be adept at living and functioning in a challenging environment, capable of executing small unit tactics.
  • Need to have appropriate personal gear for one or more overnight stays in the field.
  • OPFOR Chiefs should be seasoned US Army Special Forces Officers, Warrant Officers, or Noncommissioned Officers, or have similar law enforcement backgrounds.
  • Must be capable of realistically portraying mental and physical injuries through acting and improvisation to enhance the training experience.
  • Should be open to working non-traditional hours.
