Summary:

UNC Rockingham Clinical Lab is looking for a dedicated Medical Technologist I to be part of their team. This role involves conducting various patient tests and supporting clinical activities within the UNC Healthcare System

This is a full-time position with weekend schedule.

Responsibilities:

  • Identify and address issues related to equipment, test results, and specimens.
  • Collaborate with teams, handle special projects, and provide training to new employees.
  • Conduct quality control, equipment maintenance, and a variety of laboratory tests.
  • Prepare specimens, reagents, and provide test results to healthcare providers.
  • Review and ensure the accuracy of test results.

Requirements:

Education: Bachelor's degree in Science is required. Must meet eligibility to sit for MT exam within 12 months of hire.
Licensure/Certification: Certification must be obtained within a year of becoming eligible.
Experience: No prior experience needed.
Skills: Strong analytical and communication skills.
