This position is located in the Office of Supply Management, Warehouse Materials and Distribution Division. The purpose of this position is to provide logistical support to the Bureau of Engraving and Printing.

**Location**

As a **Materials Handler (Vault Stockman)**, you will:

Direct the storage of security papers used in the production of currency and other security items.

Maintain custody thereof pending requisitions from manufacturing sections.

Open paper vaults at the beginning of business, secure paper vaults at the close of business, maintain a security check-in log for recording all entries into the vault, and insure that only authorized personnel are admitted to the area.

Maintain a filing system to ensure that all securities are safeguarded and properly accounted for, file all papers and correspondence relating to receipt and issue of security papers are properly controlled in addition, is responsible for storage and physical custody of dandy rolls located in the Bureau, and arrange for their shipment to contractors as needed.

Locate items by using a computerized Inventory Management System, compare stock, identify information on documents with stock numbers, bin location, bar code tags or package markings.

The facility typically shuts down annually between Christmas and New Year's Day. As such, all BEP employees must take leave for work days during the shutdown period.

**CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT:**
