About the Engineering Internship position

We are looking for a reliable Intern who will help us with performing advanced or specialized engineering duties generally focused on trouble shooting, internal and external audits, process improvement, and the inspection of products for defects or deviation from specification. You will support the plant by interfacing with plant manufacturing, engineering, and other internal and external organizations. Ensure product & quality systems integrity. Ensure plant and corporate design manual requirements are being followed.

You should be a good problem solver with creative approach to your tasks, deeply concerned about quality and efficiency and well-versed in the latest technology trends and best practices.

Engineering Intern responsibilities are:
  • Regularly communicate with the Manufacturing Units to ensure efficient information sharing
  • Document and enforce quality standards; develop and control quality management systems
  • Evaluate the standardization of production; report current status to the relevant parties
  • Arrange, conduct, and evaluate internal and customer audits; publish the results, implement and follow up with corrective actions
  • Analyze the results from the test conducted by the Technology Unit; make decision on production order release; provide the up-to-date information to the Manufacturing Units
  • Manage, approve and follow up with the 4M (man, machine, material, method); receive 4M modification requests about planned changes; make decisions between introducing changes vs. refusing changes; notify relevant departments of the approval status of the 4M modifications
  • Elaborate the level of control and the processes
  • Complete external project tasks assigned by the immediate supervisor
  • Confirm that the test were conducted in accordance with the regulatory requirements
  • Check and evaluate the test results received from the Technology Unit
  • Prepare and forward the test reports and other documents required to be certified
  • Review and confirm the invoices released by the organization issuing the certificate
  • Monitor and analyze the measuring systems; document the results and generate reports
  • Perform additional duties as assigned
QA Engineer I requirements are:

Education:
  • (Required) Must be actively pursuing an undergraduate/graduate degree in a related field with a current GPA of 3.0 or higher and a minimum of 2 years completed toward the degree
Experience:
  • (Preferred) Relevant experience preferred to include internships or Co-ops.
  • (Required) 0+ years of proven engineering experience in the manufacturing industry
Physical Demands:
  • Must be able to frequently move about the manufacturing plant campus, general office environments, production areas, and occasionally ascend/descend stairs
  • Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time
  • Must be able to operate a computer and other office productivity machinery
  • Must be able to position self to file documents including the top and bottom drawers of file cabinets
  • Must be able to occasionally move office equipment and supplies weighing up to 50 pounds
