Murphy-Hoffman Company, LLC is the biggest Kenworth truck dealership group and leasing provider in North America. MHC is in search of an Outside Parts Salesperson. This individual will be responsible for maximizing profitable sales of parts and labor services from assigned accounts in a specific area. The role involves analyzing customer operations to determine their future parts, service, and truck needs.

  • Maximize sales volume focusing on parts and labor opportunities for assigned accounts.
  • Oversee operations of assigned customers, providing advice on inventory, services, new products, etc.
  • Plan territory coverage, regularly visit key accounts (current and potential), introduce new products, take orders, and promote existing products and services.
  • Submit weekly customer call sheets summarizing calls made.
  • Manage personal expenses within the approved budget and submit weekly reports.
  • Promote all MHC products and services including RoadForce, Service, Body Shop, Truck Sales, Leasing, Carrier, and Finance.
  • Refer customer complaints to the appropriate managers.
  • Support counter personnel with orders, deliveries, inventory, and other assigned tasks.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by the supervisor.

This position is categorized as safety-sensitive. The performance of duties under the influence of substances like marijuana could pose a health or safety risk. This includes tasks involving heavy equipment, machinery, vehicles, or hazardous materials.

Qualifications

  • One year of automotive parts experience.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Experience in public-facing sales or service roles.
  • Preferably, computer skills.
