Mandarin Bilingual Interpreter

We are seeking a skilled Mandarin Translator to join our team. The Mandarin Translator will play a crucial role in optimizing the manufacturing processes through the translation of work orders, processes and procedures to local employees and the main plant in China. If you are fluent in both the Mandarin and English languages; we want to hear from you. We have openings for this position at the Ford BlueOval SK Plants in Stanton, TN and Glendale, KY. Join our team as a Mandarin Interpreter where you will play a vital role in facilitating communication between individuals who speak different languages. As an Interpreter, you will be responsible for accurately translating spoken language in various settings to ensure effective understanding and communication.

**Responsibilities:**

- Translate work instruction from Mandarin to English

- Translate from English to Mandarin for Chinese main office

- Read work instruction in Mandarin and translate to English

- Write work instruction in English from Mandarin

- Explain simple equipment operation to employees regarding setup and maintenance for quality control processes (training provided)

- Cooperate with the safety supervisor and engineers to translate the job requirements

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to communicate all work instructions and processes

- Adhere to guidelines to ensure compliance with industry standards and translate from Mandarin to English for the employees and from English to Mandarin for Chinese main office

- Follow safety guidelines and procedures and ensure the employees understand these guidelines and procedures

- Translate verbal communication during meetings, appointments, conferences, and other interactions

- Maintain confidentiality and impartiality while interpreting

- Collaborate with others in the operations to facilitate communication

- Assist in translating written documents when required

- Ensure cultural sensitivity and accuracy in interpreting to convey the intended message effectively

**Requirements:**

- Fluency in language pairs for interpretation

- Proficiency in and accurately between languages

- Knowledge of industry-specific terminology and jargon

- Strong communication skills to convey messages clearly and concisely

- Ability to work under pressure in fast-paced environments

- Certification or training in interpretation is a plus
