The Lead Pharmacist is responsible for the day-to-day management of the assigned area and provides pharmaceutical care through clinical services, teaching opportunities, general staffing, and staff support within the pharmacy department.

While observing and managing the daily operations of assigned pharmacy services, the Lead Pharmacist will ensure compliance with all policy, procedures, and regulatory agency requirements.

Ensures the patient database is complete and compiles the necessary information needed to design a patient-specific pharmacy plan of care with goals for therapy
Maintaining accurate and detailed records of all medication processed through the pharmacy
Oversees the work of pharmacy support personnel and ensures their job duties are completed in a timely manner
Assists in the training and supervision of pharmacy support personnel, pharmacy interns, and pharmacy-profession students
Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy (required)
Pharmacist Licensure – State Board of Pharmacy (required)
3 years of experience working as a pharmacist in a pharmacy (required)
Demonstrates leadership competencies and skills for the position, including excellent communication, customer service, continuous quality improvement, relationship development, and decision making
