As a Cash Applications Specialist, you play a crucial role in ensuring the financial stability and accuracy of our client's organization.

Your primary responsibilities include managing and processing cash receipts, applying payments to customer accounts, and maintaining precise financial records. Your expertise is essential in maintaining a streamlined financial operation.

OVERVIEW OF THE
CASH APPLICATIONS SPECIALISTROLE:
Receive and record incoming cash payments, checks, and electronic transfers.

Ensure the accuracy of payment details, including amount, date, and source.

Apply cash received to the appropriate customer accounts, invoices, or outstanding balances.

Cash Applications Specialist investigates discrepancies and resolves issues related to payment application.

Maintain up-to-date and accurate records of all cash transactions.

Reconcile payment information with financial statements.

Cash Applications Specialist performs regular reconciliation of customer accounts to ensure accuracy.

Investigate and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner.

Communicate with customers, internal teams, and external stakeholders regarding payment-related inquiries and issues.

Collaborate with the collections department to resolve outstanding payment issues.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS FOR
CASH APPLICATIONS SPECIALISTROLE:
Proven experience in a Cash Applications Specialist role or related financial position.

Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and recordkeeping.

Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
