About the Team

Within the Payins organization at Stripe, we focus on creating products and platforms to facilitate payment acceptance from customers. This includes developing APIs for configuring and processing payments, as well as working on Cards, our primary method for receiving payments, handling high volumes and complexities.

What You'll Do
  • Responsibilities
  • Scope, design, and maintain APIs, services, and large-scale systems to manage a high volume of money movement requests efficiently.
  • Examine information meticulously, analyze data, and identify patterns that contribute to cost savings.
  • Tackle critical production concerns across services and various stack levels.
  • Guide junior engineers to support their professional growth.
  • Collaborate with teams company-wide to introduce new features at scale while enhancing internal engineering standards, tools, and processes.
  • Efficiently work in a distributed team, fostering open communication and strong relationships with colleagues.
Who You Are

If you meet the minimum requirements for the role, we encourage you to apply. Preferred qualifications are advantageous but not mandatory.

  • Minimum Requirements
  • A solid technical background, with at least 3 years of experience in software engineering or a related field.
  • Proficiency in the entire software development life cycle, from design to deployment.
  • Strong coding abilities to construct high-performance services.
  • Excellent analytical skills, especially in modeling intricate business processes and translating business needs into technical elements like data models, algorithms, and API designs.
  • Enjoy collaborating with diverse teams, spanning Sales, Support, Legal, and Accounting, to grasp customer requirements and navigate global regulations influencing the payment infrastructure.
  • Preferred Qualifications
  • Prior exposure to the financial technology sector, specifically in payment processing, is a plus.
