Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Ensure the quality of patient care and treatment programs by providing hands-on treatment and guidance to subordinate staff.
  • Implement patient care plans and goals utilizing relevant Speech Pathology skills.
  • Attend to patient care during assigned hours designated by a supervisor.
  • Listen attentively to patient and family concerns when adjusting treatment plans.
  • Educate and inspire patients and their families to enhance functional activities.
  • Maintain the perceived quality of patient care.
  • Clean and set up equipment for therapy sessions.
  • Tidy and sanitize rooms.
  • Record progress data during therapy sessions.
  • Manage administrative tasks.
  • Timely documentation of progress, home programs, and other necessary records.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to exchange, discuss, and assess patient information for treatment plan coordination.
  • Ensure patient and family confidentiality is always preserved.
  • Engage in continuous education activities and fulfill required contact hours.
  • Fulfill all duties crucial to job performance.
  • Undertake additional duties as assigned, adhering to CNRS policies.
  • Build positive relationships with staff, fostering good employee relations.
  • Exercise good judgment in addressing questionable findings or concerns.
  • Follow directives and take initiatives to assume cross-functional responsibilities for seamless patient care.
  • Adhere to regulatory standards and comply with CNRS policies and safety procedures.
  • Job Requirements
  • Meet Nebraska licensure criteria.
  • Hold a license as a Speech Pathologist Assistant in Nebraska.
  • Prompt and regular attendance is a vital aspect of the role.
  • Physical Demands/Working Conditions
  • Engage in physical activities such as walking, standing, sitting, and lifting.
  • Capability to push, pull, and lift objects weighing up to 50 lbs.
