Responsibilities and duties:
  • Join copper piping by brazing.
  • Leak check refrigerant circuits including pressure and evacuation tests.
  • Transfer refrigerant.
  • General mechanical assembly work.
  • Other general tasks as appropriate.
Qualifications:
  • Previous brazing experience.
  • Refrigerant handling license.
  • Journeyman refrigeration mechanic license.
  • RBQ brazing certificate.
Education requirement:
  • Post-secondary education or related experience.
Required skills
  • Ability to braze copper joints with an open flame torch.
  • An understanding of evacuation and refrigerant transfer equipment and industry best practices.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Mechanical skills.
  • Able to work alone.
  • Working written/verbal communication skills (English)
  • Ability to multitask and adapt to a highly dynamic environment.
  • Good reasoning skills and sound judgement.
  • Must be able to lift packages up to 50 pounds.
