We have been Portland's premier cannabis edible manufacturer since 2015.

About the Role
We are looking for a Retail Store Manager to facilitate and supervise daily operations. You will be responsible for managing the retail store, which includes overseeing sales, staff and inventory.

Leadership

  • This role requires a high level of adaptability to the ever changing landscape of a growing business and industry;
  • Proactive communication to manage expectations of managers and team members.
  • Execute Baker's Dozen Store Visits when schedule permits

Accountability

  • Reports to the Chief of Staff
  • Works with Retail associates, external vendors, community partners and customers.
  • Punctual, arriving on time for the start of shift.
  • Review and improve organizational effectiveness by developing processes, overseeing employees, establishing a highly motivational work environment, and implementing innovative changes.
  • Adhere to company standards for excellence and quality.
  • Seek out opportunities for sales growth.
  • Provide guidance and feedback to help others strengthen specific knowledge/skill areas.

Retail Floor Responsibilities

  • Welcome and engage with customers as they enter the store
  • Check ID's of all customers
  • Assess customers' needs and suggesting solutions to their problems
  • Work with Point of Sales (POS) systems and process payments
  • Work to attain sales goals
  • Give customers advice about any promotions or special offers
  • Use upsell techniques to increase store sales
  • Recommend the best products to customers
  • Provide accurate information (e.g. product features, pricing and aftersales services)
  • Answer customers' questions about specific products/services
  • Conduct price and feature comparisons to facilitate purchasing
  • Crosssell products
  • Ensure display cases, drawers, fridge and freezer are fully stocked and displayed properly
  • Clean and restock the store throughout the day, before opening and after closing
  • Provide customer feedback to the General Manager of Retail

Computer Time

  • Any work needed to execute the above

Time and Space Management

  • Punctual, arriving on time for the start of shift.
  • Efficiently work with team members in assigned departments to execute or exceed daily and weekly production goals.

Desired Skills

  • Proven success in a managerial role.
  • Strong decisionmaking ability.
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and delegation skills.
  • Proven ability to develop and achieve financial plans.
  • Ability to motivate and lead employees, and hold them accountable.
  • Strong working knowledge of operational procedures.
  • Must be able to stand for several hours at a time.
  • Must be 21 years of age and pass a criminal background check required by the State of Maine.
  • Flexible with work schedules to accommodate business needs.

Store Hours of Operation

Preliminary:
Thursday 10:00 am - 9:00 pm

Friday 10:00 am - 9:00 pm

Saturday 10:00 am - 9:00 pm

Sunday 10:00 am - 9:00 pm

Compensation:
Salaried $55,000
