We are currently seeking an Electronics & Firmware Engineer for a Full Time position in St. Petersburg, Florida. This opportunity is a Temp-To-Direct role that is expected to transition to a permanent position within 6 months from the start date. The direct salary for this position ranges from $90,000 to $130,000 based on relevant experience and education.



Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in Electronics Engineering from an accredited institution
- 5+ years of experience in analog and digital circuit design
- Proficiency in C and C++ programming for various microcontroller architectures
- Strong expertise in firmware/software design, architecture, and documentation
- Experience with professional ECAD software, preferably Altium Designer
- Skills in component selection, PCB layout, and design for various electronic devices- Experience with circuitry for power supplies, battery chargers, and more
- Proficiency with electronic equipment such as multimeters, oscilloscopes, and soldering stations
- Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously and autonomously
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively with different personnel levels
Programming Languages:
- Microsoft Windows APIs, Labview, MS Visual BasicC, C++, C#

PC Applications:
- AutoDesk (e.g., AutoCAD, Inventor)

Preferred Skills:
- Knowledge of EMI/RFI design considerations and hazardous area certification standards

Responsibilities:
- Design and develop analog and digital circuitry as assigned
- Conduct PCB layout design and fabrication
- Create and test prototypes of new or modified products
- Develop test equipment including firmware and software
- Write software for testing and validation
- Assist in new product development and code modifications

- Provide detailed documentation for production processes
- Update design documents for existing products
- Troubleshoot components and assemblies
- Fabricate test fixtures and report test results
- Evaluate new components and propose design modifications
- Conduct failure analysis and prepare schematic markups
- Maintain engineering records and laboratory equipment
