Position Summary
Intern will work on the data entry and analytics gaps that have been identified in our business tools utilizing MS excel, MS word, and Cayuse. The intern will work part-time, defined as 20 hours per week, throughout the duration of the program. The intern should complete no less than 8 weeks, no more than 12 weeks of part-time work as an active member of the New Ventures team. The intern will work alongside the New Ventures team. During this time, the intern will engage in departmental activities and meetings, as appropriate. The intern will input and manage information into databases, and analytics tools. The intern will play a crucial role to ensure the accuracy, and efficiency of our data. The intern will gain insight into the process of the business of the Office of Technology Management, and how to successfully work independently.

Job Description

Primary Duties & Responsibilities
  • Responsible for meeting regularly with the New Ventures Team.
  • Inputs and manages the information accurately in our databases and spreadsheets. Manages the data pulls of information from these databases so that OTM NV can best serve its startups, the ecosystem, and WashU. This is an excellent opportunity to begin to understand the business of startups, and the tech transfer office.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
Working Conditions
  • Ability to be physically at the 4240 Duncan office for approximately 20 hours per week.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Willingness to learn the tools of MS office and Cayuse business tool.
Required Qualifications

Applicant must be full-time First years, Sophomores, or Juniors at an accredited college or university in the United States at the time of application submission. Students must be 18 years of age by the start of the program.
