Job Title: Student Worker - Barista

The Student Worker - Barista plays a key role in creating a delightful experience for customers by offering prompt service, high-quality beverages, and products, and ensuring a tidy and cozy environment.

As a Student Worker - Barista, your tasks involve handling transactions at the register/POS, preparing coffees and beverages according to recipes, and upholding the cleanliness of the coffee bar while providing exceptional customer service and adhering to food safety protocols.

This is a Part-Time position.



Job Responsibilities:



  • Accurately operate a register/POS, managing cash and credit card transactions
  • Welcome and assist customers while foreseeing their needs
  • Prepare and serve coffees, teas, and specialty beverages following brand standards
  • Serve food items according to location standards
  • Maintain cash drawer, complete the cashier slip, and process deposits
  • Follow cash handling policies and procedures
  • Set up and dismantle coffee bar or store, ensuring cleanliness and sanitation
  • Keep the work area clean and hygienic
  • Stock beverage coolers, grab-and-go items, service ware, and condiments
  • Adhere to health, safety, and sanitation guidelines for all products

Qualifications:



  • Previous experience in customer service is preferred
  • Prior experience in cash handling is advantageous
  • Barista experience is a plus
  • Basic math and counting skills are necessary
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Compliance with assigned dress code
  • Proficiency in reading, communicating in English, and following recipes
  • Completion of Food Handling Certification as necessary


This role may involve physical tasks such as lifting, bending, and prolonged walking and standing.

Uniforms and/or Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) may be required for this role.
