Welcome to the Architectural Manager position at Cuhaci & Peterson Architects, Engineers & Planners, Inc.

The Architectural Manager role involves overseeing architectural/engineering projects, including Design, Construction Documents, Permitting, Bidding, and Construction Administration. This position requires coordination with other disciplines and ensuring effective communication.

Requirements:

An ideal candidate for the Architectural Manager position should possess 8 to 10 years of relevant experience. A deep understanding of building construction methods, techniques, and codes is essential. The Architectural Manager holds ultimate responsibility for the project's technical quality.

Responsibilities/Skills:

  • Act as the primary point of contact for clients, contractors, and consultants for project(s).
  • Ensure seamless coordination across all disciplines involved.
  • Supervise design and production of construction documents and specifications.
  • Maintain quality standards of CP and/or clients.
  • Ensure consistent quality control throughout projects.
  • Collaborate with Project Manager to establish project budgets and complete tasks within set timelines.
  • Provide guidance, review work, and mentor junior team members.
  • Coordinate Permitting activities and address jurisdictional requirements.
  • Handle bidding processes and assist in contract negotiations.
  • Deliver Construction Administration services, including site visits, report preparation, change order processing, and project close-out.
  • Support and represent clients at public events as necessary.
  • Deliver exceptional customer service to maintain client relations.
  • Conduct training and mentorship for junior staff members.
  • Additional responsibilities as delegated.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

The role may require prolonged periods of sitting/standing, managing stressful situations, multitasking, and working under time constraints. Overtime work may be necessary as per project needs.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

Adaptability to handle stress, multitasking, and meeting production schedules/budgets is crucial. The role involves both office and occasional outside work environments.
