Description:
Definition and Primary Objective
The Early Childhood Resource Coordinator (ECRC) partners with the Community Learning Center (CLC) Resource Coordinator at Oyler School to initiate, facilitate, and maintain programs and services. The goal is to ensure that all young students aged birth to 5 years in Lower Price Hill community have access to top-notch early learning opportunities and are on the right developmental track.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Engage with the school and community through networking and outreach.
- Organize marketing and recruitment activities to reach families with young children.
- Establish strong relationships and collaborations within the school and community.
- Plan family engagement events catering to the needs of families with children aged 0-5.
- Foster trust with families from diverse backgrounds and cultures.- Connect families and children to Oyler Community Learning Center, a key educational resource.
- Link families with young children to high-quality early childhood programs like Robert and Adele Schiff Center and Oyler Preschool.
- Provide families with various resources tailored to their needs.- Stay updated on community resources.
- Take part in school and community events.
- Collaborate with the Early Childhood team to organize kindergarten transition activities.
- Assist families in ensuring children's medical, dental, and vision exams are up to date.
- Attend community council meetings and partner school events.
Qualifications:
Minimum Education, Experience, and
Other Skill Requirements:
A Bachelor's degree in social services, education, or community planning is essential.
The ideal candidate should be proactive, adaptable, collaborative, and innovative.
Demonstrated leadership and professionalism are crucial for interacting with diverse groups.
Previous experience in family and community engagement is a plus.
A flexible schedule, including some evening and weekend hours, is required.
