The Role

Attention pioneering engineers Are you prepared to transform the landscape of carbon removal technology with Heirloom? As a Process Control Engineer, you will lead the development of our state-of-the-art direct air capture technology. Your objective? To devise the control system and outline process instrumentation for our next-gen commercial plants, leading the charge towards a more environmentally friendly, sustainable future.

Prepare to showcase your expertise in chemical processing, whether honed in the oil and gas sector or green energy companies, to map out the control architecture and instrumentation components of our commercial carbon capture and sequestration system. Immerse yourself in PLCs, control logic, control power, and process instrumentation as you fashion the control system for an innovative direct air capture facility distinct from any other.

But that's not all - as a member of our dynamic team, you will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and suppliers to push the limits of controls and instrumentation, ensuring efficiency and efficacy throughout the carbon removal and storage process.

What you will bring

Your 5+ years of experience in the chemical processing industry or chemical engineering, delivering design specifications and implementing control systems strategies, are indispensable. Your flair for programming PLCs and familiarity with languages like Ladder Diagram (LD), Sequential Function Charts (SFC), Functional Block Diagram (FBD), Structured Text (ST), Instruction List (IL) or Allen-Bradley, will be invaluable assets to our team.

Ideally, you'll also possess experience in power distribution and plant automation, coupled with a sharp eye for detail in HMI interface development. Your understanding of hardware components and process automation will position you for success in this dynamic role.

Compensation for this position is expected to range from $140,000 to $175,000, contingent on experience.
