ResponsibilitiesAs a Building Engineer at Hines, you will be responsible for maintaining the fundamental operation and upkeep of all building equipment and systems. Your key duties include:
- Performing routine maintenance and repairs on various mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems
- Adjusting HVAC and related equipment to ensure optimal performance
- Conducting general repairs and replacements of building components
- Participating in water treatment chemical programs
- Maintaining operation logs and files for record-keeping
- Utilizing HVAC distribution and controls knowledge to resolve work orders
- Providing timely and courteous responses to tenant requests
- Fostering professional relationships with contractors and tenants
- Ensuring compliance with emergency procedures and protocols
- Adhering to all safety and environmental regulations
- Engaging in required training activities and seminars
To qualify for this role, you should have:
- A high school diploma or equivalent
- Two or more years of experience in commercial HVAC or related fields
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Proficiency in computer skills for effective program administration
- The ability to lift heavy objects and perform physical tasks
- Willingness to work flexible shifts and overtime when needed
