Hello prospective candidate Thanks for taking a moment to read about this opportunity At the end of the day, we are looking for someone who fits the usual bill of an accounting manager (see below). But what we really want is someone excited about growing both personally and professionally. We are talking about some real responsibilities here. We are a fast-growing, technology-forward drywall and painting company that focuses on new residential, commercial, and multi-family construction. We currently operate in 3 markets across South Carolina and Georgia, and we are on the cusp of expanding further.

We are looking for someone who can check the boxes below but is also not afraid to roll up his/her sleeves to develop processes, document workflows, manage people, build teams, communicate effectively, maintain financial records, and more. We are looking for the Swiss Army knife of accounting and finance. You are the type of person that can see the big picture and is willing to go the second mile to get it. Do we require long hours? You need to be a self-starter and mature enough to know that hiding behind a computer screen is not going to get you far. You are the type of person that responds to messages and calls quickly. What we are seeking:

Strong understanding of QuickBooks Online. You'll be revamping our entire chart of accounts to account for current and future divisions and service offerings.

Supervise administrative staff and divide responsibilities to ensure completion of tasks.

Keep timely records of accounting (invoicing, AP, bank reconciliations, etc.), including month-end, quarterly, and year-end closings.

Assist with the establishment of budgets at the corporate and divisional level

Lead and/or assist with special projects and research (e.g., implementation of technology platforms, shepherd the development of KPIs and SOPs, design internal controls, work with consultants).

Mentality/disposition for continuous improvement. We never want to rest upon the status quo, and this includes your own development.

Constant networker. We want you to be a people-person, and we want you to be constantly developing relationships.

No fear of technical accounting matters – that doesn't mean you need to know all things about technical accounting, but you have the courage to tackle them if necessary.

What we would like you to possess:

Bachelor's degree

Public accounting experience (preferred but not required)

CPA license (preferred but not required)

Some level of management experience

Accounting experience in a corporate/business setting
