Conference Services Technician

Overview

Sets up conference rooms and provides backup support with the scheduling of conference rooms. Cleans conference rooms after each use.

Responsibilities

Sets up, cleans, and makes ready conference rooms according to the daily schedule. Provides last minute accommodations and adjusts room bookings as necessary. Keeps other staff informed of set-up and room changes.

Coordinates audio-visual equipment for use in all Conference Services meeting rooms and deliver equipment to other department meeting rooms throughout the Medical Center. Provides audio-visual support to all users, and problem solves as necessary to assist customers with room set-up, last minute changes, etc. Provides training for users on the use of audio-visual equipment.

Ensures that all conference services audio-visual equipment is clean, safe and properly maintained. Reports all faulty equipment to the CS Staff Assistant. Maintains a record of all equipment loaned to departments.

Maintains an inventory of light bulbs for AV equipment, pads for flip charts, marking pens, masking tape, and other equipment provided in the Conference Services meeting rooms. Maintains records with dates on when audio-visual equipment bulbs are replaced and be proactive in ensuring that the equipment is in working condition with proper illumination.

Monitors and cleans conference rooms after each use.

Monitors bathrooms, as assigned. Replaces all supplies as needed, and performs other assigned cleaning duties. Ensures that hand sanitizer stations and masks in meeting rooms are kept supplied.

Moves furniture and changes light bulbs in the conference rooms. Keeps all conference room furniture clean and in good repair.

Performs other duties as required or assigned.

Qualifications

High school diploma required.

Must be computer literate and able to read and write.

Knowledge and experience with audio-visual equipment including technical training or experience in Computer and AV maintenance is desired.

Prior satisfactory work experience is desired, and must have good interpersonal skills.
